Is there a way to save the four components without having to save them one at a time? I have 8 actions to perform and I can mistake the succession or jump one. I have TEST substitution with WIlLY within each nested component but I had to save and confirm four components in succession, When I save and confirm the save in succession of components GR3, GR2, GR1, EXAMPLE GR1: contains GR2 containing GR3 with the old TEST componentĮxample: contains GR1 that contains GR2 containing GR3 with the old TEST component GR2: contains GR3 with the old TEST component GR3: It still contains the old TEST component I edited the TEST component, modified it, and saved it as WILLY My problem is due to MODIFYING a component in this case TEST in GR3ĮXAMPLE is the general container that contains some components and also GR1 containing components and also GR2 which also contains GR 3 where there is also a component called TEST I never use groups but only components (GR1, GR2, GR3 are components that include other components ) To edit only one of them, you can right-click > Make Unique. this way when you edit one of them, all the others will have the same changes. for cabinets for example, cabinet doors and drawers that repeat should be made Components. In SU, table legs would be Components because it's the same leg 4x, or other structural parts that repeat. You should always Group objects like in real life, for ex: a table is not one object, it is a group of objects, and all the objects in this group are separated (leg, plank, etc) groups of surfaces and lines. When you enter a Group or Component for edit, you have the option of Hide Rest of Model, or Hide Similar Components, you can toggle that on or off. You should group separately, all other objects in the model, or Make Component for objects that repeat in the model. Then when you enter the group to edit you can fix the missing surfaces (that were merged with other objects). You can double-click select all the wall surfaces (holding Shift to select multiple) and then right-click and Make Group.
